The first wealthy family I met was my best friend’s. Even though her mum didn’t work, she had a driver to take her to school. She had an iMac when Brazilians were still getting access to the internet, and she travelled as a little girl to places like I could only dream of, like Disneyland. Her family was rich. Her father owned a business. Although they were very rich and going to her house was like going to an amusement park, they were very humble, and I have never seen them mistreat anyone.

In my family, there is also a rich uncle. He owned a business. He had boats that got bigger every year and jet skis. He bought a bunch of properties and said the tale that he did some illegal businesses as well. He doesn’t like travelling, and I am not even sure if he ever travelled to Europe, money to do so, he had. He also has a big house and a nice car.

One of my parent’s neighbours was rich once. They had a business. They used to tell my parents that they would spend hours counting their money in bed. They went out for dinner almost every day. That’s the only thing we knew they were doing with their money.
