Anxiety Was Adele’s Diet To Lose Tons of Weight
No magic diet, just a whole lot of anxiety to deal with.
When I don’t exercise, I feel more anxious. For me exercising is my medicine to control my anxiety levels. I don’t do anything extreme. I like to go for walks, get my 10,000 steps in, and do HIIT and Cardio videos on YouTube. That’s it. If I get my steps in and do one long video or two shorter ones, I am good to go. And Adele is the same.
In her recent interview for Vogue, both American and British editions, she said she lost so much weight because of her anxiety. Working out made her feel better. It was never about losing weight, and it was about keeping herself busy and away from her phone. She went through a divorce and wasn’t working (her last album was released in 2015, and her latest tour was in 2017), so she had lots of time on her hands. She got addicted to exercising, and she still works out two to three times a day.
She does her weights in the morning. She hikes or boxes in the afternoon and does her cardio at night. For all her exercises routine, she has the help of trainers. She also knows that this is not doable for many people because first, you need to have time on your hands, and most people spend all their time working.
