As I am from Brazil, I can guarantee to you that racism doesn’t only exist in “white countries”. Brazil is one of the most racists countries in the world. For a person that a life was defined by the colour of their skin, every expression is an expression about race. I wish the colour of my skin didn’t define how I experienced the world, but it did and still does. So in my writing, I will reflect that.
