You don’t need to be a millionaire to have a good life
One of my missions in life is to help people with a low income to live better lives. I am someone with a low income, and I am trying every day to make my life a little bit better, without depending so much on money.
In 2020, I was unemployed and on benefits. I was broke, but I knew if I wanted to keep living in the UK on my terms, I needed to learn how to manage my money to make it work for me.
In 2019, I wasted so much money. I had a full-time job making £28,000 per year and I had a freelance writing gig that used to pay around £500 per month. I was making more or less £2,300 after taxes per month, and most of my money went on food, Uber, buying random stuff, alcohol and cigarettes, and dating. I also didn’t have a saving goal for the year, which was my biggest mistake.
ALWAYS HAVE A SAVING GOAL FOR THE YEAR, then you know how much money you can spend per month to be able to achieve this number.
