I Walked 10,000 Steps Every Day For a Month — Here Is What I Learned

In April 2021, I had two goals: write every day on Medium and walk every day 10,000 steps. I achieved both. In this article, I will tell you what I have learned after I walked 10,000 steps for 30 days in a row.

Don’t create excuses (at all costs)

I knew I wanted to walk 10,000 steps every day and I knew I needed to go for at least two walks per day to get it done. I didn’t allow myself to create excuses, I did what I got to do. Even if I was tired and comfy inside the house, I left to walk up and down my road just to complete the 10,000 steps.

Some days were easier and some days were harder

I have been trying my best to live one day at a time and I have been much less anxious than I used to be in the past. I took the same approach to this challenge. I needed to get 10,000 steps done during a day and some days were easier and some days were harder. It’s life, but I manage to handle both and deliver the steps. I avoid thinking about the 30 days, but just the day I had in front of me. I also didn’t care about the days that already had…
