Take Your Time To Watch The Beauty In The World
We can’t deny our problems, but we can still choose to see beauty in the world.
I know everything is a mess, and the world is collapsing. If I read the news in the morning, I ask myself, what is the point of getting up and doing everything over and over again?
Even here, my favourite writers are often the pessimists that only increase my awareness of how the world is falling apart and we are just about to fall with it.
In the UK, the latest news is the increase in our taxes, which we were already expecting. Someone needs to pay for the pandemic. Yup! And this someone is us. My problem is not to pay taxes but to see my taxes being used for good and not to be cashed to buy a mansion, a luxury car and bags for a politician.
But enough with the problems, enough with the pandemic, with the climate change and with the bad educational and healthy systems. Because somehow, in all this mess, we still need to take our time to watch the beauty in the world.
Our home is the planet Earth, and although the billionaires are trying to corrupt other planets, most of us, ordinary people, are stuck here. This is it. This is what we have, and we must appreciate it.
