The Most Important Ability To Have For Your Future
The ability to get by with less, and I am not talking about minimalism.
When you see yourself broke, you know things need to change. You need to learn how to live with less money to make ends meet. Being unemployed and on benefits in London, one of the most expensive cities in the world, taught me how to make the most of my money. I survived being poor. I bounced back because I took full responsibility for my finances (cutting back any non-essential spending). Still, most importantly, I had help from the Government, my parents and my partner.
Minimalism became very popular in recent years as a movement to own fewer things — not only material things but also to make your whole life simpler. Two of the biggest names around minimalism are Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus, The Minimalists, two privileged men that minimalism is an option and not the only alternative to survive in a world where we can’t afford things. After making tons of money, they decided that they didn’t need all the things they had, which it’s true for most people. We can all live with less.
