The Work Benefits I Would Like To Have
Everyone deserves these work benefits.
We can all dream, can’t we? First of all, I would like to make clear that I am more than grateful for my job, and its biggest benefit is that I can work from home. I don’t need to spend any money to get to work and to be at work. This has been helping me to save my first £10,000. But I still can’t deny that I would love to have some of the benefits below:
Transport Allowance (£200)
At the moment, I wouldn’t accept an office job in London if it didn’t come with a transport allowance. While this is law in Brazil, in the UK, it’s not. Some employees do get transport allowance as an incentive to be in the office, but this is the exception, not the rule. For me to get to and from work, I would need to spend £10 a day. This comes to £50 per week and more or less £200 per month. In a year, this is £2,400 that could be in my savings account for me to afford a house one day or a better retirement plan.
Lunch Allowance (£200)
Of course, we can save lots of money by cooking our lunches and taking them to the office, but when you are working long hours, the last thing you want to do is to cook. Also, taking one day from the weekend to cook can be tiring. Even if you don’t mind, having a lunch…
