There Isn’t Such A Thing As Nice Rented Bathroom.
And that’s why I want to be a homeowner
My biggest dream is to buy a house in the UK. And different from Brazil the houses here can come with five bedrooms and one bathroom which I find absurd. How can at least five people share one bathroom? Anyways, some people want luxury bags, watches, and cars, and I want a luxury bathroom. For me, a luxury bathroom is a bathroom that is easy to clean and will look clean for its lifetime: no mold, no limescale and other crust dirtiness.
The first thing I want to do when I buy a house here is to renovate the existing bathroom and build a new one — both with a shower and bathtub. Yes, I am fancy. Not really, I just have mild compulsions (which could lead to OCD, if I am not careful), and a dirty, old bathroom is my worst enemy. Also, I hate sharing my bathroom with other people, including my partner. I wrote about this here.
I grow-up in a household where renovations happened every other year, and I remember my father telling me that the most expensive part of a house renovation is the bathroom, and that’s why I think that 90% of the rentals have shitty bathrooms. Here is me again…
