It’s almost impossible for me not to compare the UK with Brazil all the time. I am a Brazilian living in the UK for over five years now. I am learning new things about the UK all the time, and these things make me reflect on life back home.

We tend to believe that all poor and rich people are the same, but this is not true. The same applies to the middle class, which in itself can be pretty different.

In this article, I consider the middle class, people who own their house and other properties and have enough income to afford a comfortable lifestyle. Still, they can’t afford luxury on the daily basics, but maybe once in a while.

The middle class in Brazil has better access to health than the middle class in the UK.

I am not saying that the Brazilian Public Health System is better than the UK. But as someone that uses the NHS, I can guarantee that things could be better. First, they promise when you register as a new patient to give a complete check-up. That never happens.
