Today, I Am Living in London for 5 Years — This is What I Want You to Know
It’s hard to reflect on something that’s happening at the moment.
I gave a lot up to be here in London. I gave up spending time with my parents, my closest friends and my family. But I also gained a lot.
These past 5 years a lot has changed in my life and I can just say I am tired.
It’s been a journey.
I am ready to try to relax more and just live slower.
I am not in a rush any more, maybe because now I know where I want to go.
I will tell you a bit about what happened in my life during these last 5 years. Let’s go!
April 2016/ April 2017
I moved here with about £6,500 in cash, a husband, and a couple of bags full of clothes.
We were able to move to the UK because he got a job here and had a Portuguese passport.
I was lucky to find an internship in May/2016 which was my first job in the UK.
We got a nice new flat near Ealing Broadway Station.
I was busy running my blog, working and taking care of the house. The flat was noisy, and we had a bad time sleeping.
