We are all trying our best to live better lives. But most of the time, we are lost. We don’t know how to start it. What do we need to do to change our lives to live better?

The most important change is internal because this will reflect the changes externally.

You need to change how you think, and how you think is directed to what you value.

That’s important to understand what value development is.

There are three phases of value development: the imprint period, the modelling period and the socialisation period.

The Imprint Period

When we are children, until we are 7 years old, we absorb everything around us, accepting it as the truth. Our parents are the main source of our values. That’s when traumas happen. Children also learn what is right and wrong, good and bad, and this is a human invention because throughout history these values have changed and are continuously changing.

Pre-moral State: During this period, children are in a pre-moral state, because they are still learning what is right and wrong and good and bad
