Why Am I Tired of Influencers, Even My Favourite Ones?
Stop watching them live their lives, and start living yours
The growth of influencers we see today started around the year 2014/2015. It was then when they became very popular (how we know them today), and a new job title was born. This is a pretty recent occupation, but I am already tired of hearing about them.
Around this time, I was planning to move to London and I remember watching a lot of Lily Pebbles, Anna from Vivianna Does Makeup, Estée Lalonde, and Samantha Maria, which was my favourite. I loved watching their lifestyle and I learned a lot about life in London with them, but when I finally moved here, I realised how my life was going to be very different from theirs.
What bothered me the most then was seeing them complaining about their lives, mainly Lily Pebbles. They could afford a life that I couldn’t, and I was trying my best to not complain about my life as a new immigrant in the UK. That put me off and the more I was focused on creating a life in London, the less I was watching them live their lives.
