You Can Choose Who You Are

A couple of years ago, a phrase got really famous: You have the same hours in a day as Beyoncé. And this phrase was originally created to serve as inspiration and motivation.

As a human being, Beyoncé’s day has 24 hours, but differently from any other human being, she has built an empire. That’s because her days have more than 24 hours. She has tons of money, and tons of money can buy time.

She doesn’t need to worry about many of the things that regular human beings need to because taking care of ourselves without help takes time. We can’t be working all the time; we have other things we need to do. And even if we work all the time, we can’t get everything done without help.

On the other hand, what I like about this phrase is that it shows that we all have choices (some people more, some people less).

What do you want to be doing in the 24 hours available to you during a day?

Let’s forget about Beyoncé and any other billionaire and what they are doing with their days, and let’s focus on what we are going to do with our days as regular folks.

I want to be a writer, and therefore, I need to write. Every day, I need to make time for this, but if I don’t do it…
